Bicycle Highway:Celebrating Community Radio in Ireland provides an illustrated road map to the vibrant community radio movement in Ireland today. Written by people from all over Ireland who are actively involved in making community radio happen, the contributors include volunteers, managers and regulators from the community radio sector.

This book is a collection of papers from the conference entitled “Medium with promising future” organised at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, on June, 9-10/2006. The conference drew radio specialists from a dozen or so European countries.
They represented thirteen key universities and other European learning centres and participated in the proceedings of the International Radio Research Network (Consortium IREN) in the years 2004-2006.

The French journal MédiaMorphoses (Paris: Armand Colin / INA) dedicates the majority of issue number 23, published in June 2008, to radio broadcasting, under the title: 'Radio: words given, words for the taking'. This edition was edited by Jean-Jacques Cheval (University of Bordeaux 3, CEMIC, President of the French Radio Research and Studies Group, GRER). It assembles 18 French and international contributions.
